Hello out there. Sorry it’s been so long since I have blogged. Bear with me as I word vomit up an update on my month in Ecuador.

Ecuador is absolutely beautiful. The city is amazing and the people are so warm and kind. This month was all squad month, so all of B-squad has been staying together but doing separate ministries each day with our teams. It’s been so much fun! We have been staying with a ministry called Inca Link. They have taken such great care of us! Shout out to Mabe and Fabi!!

This month my team and I have been serving three days a week at a home for teen moms and their babies. The ministry basically takes the girls in and teaches them how to parent. It’s an amazing ministry. I have completely fallen in love with the babies and their mamas. It took a little time but I feel like we have built a great relationship with the girls. The babies were so timid and shy when we first got there and now they are so excited to see us every day. It’s actually super heart warming. And any one that knows me knows that I love babies so much! I also have a heart for teens, so working with the moms and their babes has been like a breath of fresh air.

The other two days of the week we have been serving at a ministry called COVi. It is an after school-type program for lower socioeconomic children in the surrounding areas. It’s located in a beautiful park in the middle of the city. They feed the kids lunch and provide tutoring and other services. They also are diligent about incorporating the Gospel into their routines as well. We have done lots of gardening (dad, be proud) and cleaning. An amazing woman named Tamaraita runs the program at COVi. She is amazing and I want to be like her when I grow up.

The Lord is doing so much in my life right now. He is working in me, my team and my squad every single day. The race is growing me and changing me and I couldn’t be more excited about that. I don’t want to look the same when I go home. I want to look more like Jesus. I miss home but it is getting easier every day to be away. Life on the race is hard but so, so good.

My squad and I will begin our journey to Colombia on Thursday morning. I really can’t believe how fast time is flying by on the Race. It’s one of those weird things where the days are long but then you look up and a month FLEW by! Please pray for us as we travel and as we prepare our hearts for a new month.

That’s all for now! See you in COLOMBIAAAAAAA!!!
