Friends and Family,

I wanted to write you a short blog in order for you to be
aware of my fundraising situation. It has been about a full lunar cycle since I
have last fundraised. Way back in the year 2012, I believe it was towards the
end of November when I thought that I had finished raising support for my race.
My account showed a positive balance and I was so ecstatic I did some cartwheels
and handstands to celebrate!

However, I JUST found out that was not the case. Because I had
gone to Haiti in June 2010 with Adventures in Missions (AIM) and had to raise support
for that trip, my account was set up different than most of my squadmates
because for them the race was the only trip they had done with AIM.

There was a lot of confusion on my end because I thought
that I had completed my fundraising. I contacted AIM and had several of their
finance gurus triple check my unique situation. They confirmed that I did indeed have
some money left to raise. Close, but no cigar.

As you can see in the screenshot, my expenses show $17,500.
This is $15,500 is for the race and another $2,000 for the Haiti trip I took in
2010. My gifts show what money I have already raised towards the $17,500. My expenses
show $16,148.61, which means
that I have about $1,342.14 left to raise until my expenses match my gifts-
which means then I will be fully funded.

From my solo post on Facebook last week, I have had
$600 in committed funds which leaves the balance at about $740! A HUGE thank
you and much appreciation to those donors!

I have until March 31 to raise the remaining $740. If you
feel led to help me financially I would be happier than a child in a candy
store. You would enable me to complete manistry month in Ukraine in April; as
well as months nine, ten, and eleven in Central America. You can donate online
HERE or with a check. (Click on previous link, then “Donate by Mail.”)

I apologize for the confusion and I appreciate your help 🙂
