My name is Jochem Veldhuijzen. I am 21 years young. I was born in Oss, Netherlands and I moved to Grand Rapids when I was 4 years old in 1995. I attended South Christian High School and graduated in 2008. I took my college prerequisites at Grand Rapids Community College before heading to Grand Valley State University in 2010. I am currently still in attendance there, I plan to graduate in June 2012 with majors in accounting and finance.
God has been a big part of my life and I realize that He has blessed me so much. I came to Haiti in June 2010 for the first time with Adventures in Missions. During my time in Haiti some of my team members shared stories and experiences from the World Race. I knew that was something that God wanted me to do, in His timing. I believe that timing is now! I will launch into the World Race in September, 2012.
