Exciting World Race Update:
Family and friends, it’s crazy to think that I leave for World Race training camp in a little over a month, and that I will be hopping on my first plane to India in a little over four months! God has been providing in the most amazing ways, and has gotten me to just over $7,000 fundraised! Thank you SO much to everyone who has helped me get this far! I don’t enjoy expressing my needs, and God has definitely been working in my heart to humble me throughout this fundraising process. With that being said, I need to fundraise $3,000 more before the January 1st to get to my required $10,000 by launch. That’s a little less than $1,000 a month between now and when I leave.
Handmade by Heroes, an amazing organization that employed disabled Veterans, has stepped up to help me fundraise. Handmade by Heroes employs US Veterans who have given so much for our Nation. Apart from providing employment, they also aim to give the Veterans working for them the opportunity to learn new skills and trades which can help them transition from the Military into the Civilian workforce, where they can find new jobs with their newly learned skills. Handmade by Heroes will be working with me to sell parachord keychains as a fundraiser. There are four keychains I will be selling, as pictured below. I’m selling each of the keychains for $10. Each keychain is made out of parachord (and can be taken apart to pull a car, save a life, etc. if needed), can be made with or without the chain, and makes a great gift for yourself or someone else. Stocking stuffers with a cause, anyone? Additionally, each keychain comes with a card containing information about the Veteran who made it.
