I believe that the meaning of a name can define the life of the child. For example, Elizabeth- means God's promise, and most women I have met with this name fit in the definition. They remind us of God's promise to restore humanity. God's promise to always love us no matter what. God's promise of never leaving or forsaking us, and lastly God's promise to provide for us.
Now although this is my middle name, this blog is not written about me, but about a very special person in my life. Her name is Elizabeth Gonzalez and she is my teammate. She exudes confidence and beauty. She is an example of all of God's promises that he has made to us. She has a heart for ministry and remembers the forgotten. She loves with everything she has. She is loyal to those who have entrusted her with their hearts and lives. She trusts the Lord that he will provide for her every need. She is also in need of our help!
The reason I am writing this blog is because Elizabeth must meet her final deadline for the world race in order to stay on the field with us. As I'm sure many of you know we must raise $15,500. Thus far she has raised a little over $10,000. She still is in need of $4,874.96 by the end of this week! So in order to help her out the best way I can I am calling on my supporters (aka. All of you.) She is in her eleventh hour and needs God's provisions, which I believe he will provide through all of you. Anything you are willing to give would help her immensely, no matter how big or small the donation. And remember because you are donating to a nonprofit it is tax deductible (added perk.)
This incredible woman of God has grown so much in her faith and relationship with her heavenly Father in the past 6 months. She isn't even close to the same person she was before, her walls have been broken down and she has given everything to God. However, I believe with all my heart that God is not finished with her yet. I believe the next 4 months on the race are going to be a crucial time in her life. He has broken her outer shell, like an acorn, and now he is nurturing this new sapling. He will use these next 4 months to take her from being a sapling and turn her into the mighty oak he has designed her to be. This is where God has placed her and where he has called her to stay. She needs this time to grow more intimate with him. Also as her teammate I need her to push me into the fullness of God. I believe she is a very important key to my faith walk right now.
So this is me pleading on her behalf! Please donate to my dear friend and help continue on in this once in a lifetime journey! Be a part of something great and know that your donations will not only be changing her life, but the lives of everyone encounters!
"…Give as freely as you have received." Matthew 10:8
