Just wanted to share a quick God moment with you. Last year at the very start of World Race, my team (Team 61 including myself and my 6 teammates) began our journey in Mexico by living with a family in Arrollo Palenque, Mexico. This small farming community was home to Marcos, Florentina and their three children, our hosts for our 3 week time in Mexico. Marcos pastors a small, yet vibrant church, holds 4 services a week and lives his life among his family and home community in an effort to share the love of Christ. He daily prays for the sick, visits the invalid, casts out demons and intercedes faithfully.
Last year, our team agreed to cover his family’s living costs so he could attend a ministry training school in the nearby city of Palenque. He was ecstatic to begin his training and excelled in his first year of classes. I was contacted recently to learn that funds had run out for Marcos to continue in his second year. His desire was to continue (the program was free of charge) yet his family would be unable to financially operate without him on their little farm.
God put it on my heart to send him the meager $300 which would support his family for 2 months while he attended his third semester of classes. The picture below shows his receipt of this money and gratitude for the gift! Marcos is now able to continue in his studies and take these valuable truths back to his family and home congregation – a community that is desperately in need of the hope of Christ.
Praise God for His faithfulness and provision!
Pastor Marcos
