I’ve been spending quite a bit of time thinking about the future. Not MY future as much as THE future…as in what’s next?
The World Race, as amazing as it is, was never, and is still not, intended to be “it”.
As in, “here you go, now you’re ready…uh…go!”
But sometimes it feels that way. Sometimes it feels like at some point all the pieces are going to miraculously come together in some magnificent, supernatural way and everything is just going to “click”…
Reality check…it doesn’t work that way. Sure, some people know, they know who they’re supposed to marry, or where they’re supposed to live, or where the next season is supposed to lead. They work towards a goal they’ve always had or commit to a vision they are just 101% sure of (…show offs…), but what about when you lack a vision?
I’m convinced that many of us don’t need to beat a dream out of ourselves, to be honest, we just need a vision to be a part of. It’s not so crucial that it’s the “right” vision, but something about it should matter. Because, really, it’s about playing a role in the kingdom and sometimes it just doesn’t matter that my role is EXACTLY what it should be for me to be happy, but that it’s contributing to something bigger than myself.
I think we all are in search of this. Maybe by being apart of a church body, or being a “big brother” or “big sister” to an inner city kid. Or maybe it’s a global scale of being on the front lines and living overseas planting churches. We all just want to be a part of something that matters. And if we find ourselves in a place of indifference…at least we want to want it…
Over the next few months, I’m hopefully going to be a part of helping those visions become realities. I want to see dreams happen and for visions to become passions and passions to become real kingdom all over the world. It’s not hard, takes some work, but it’s so close I can taste it.
Maybe you hear this whisper…maybe not yet. Maybe you want to see this become a reality.
I’m willing to put in some time to see it possible. I need your help to do it.
Ask the Father to give the dreams.
Pray for the laborers to become part of the movement.
Seek out ways to make it happen for you.
