Today’s the last day of September.  It’s the 30th of the month in which I turned 30 and it’s the beginning of a new year.  I took a second to think through what’s about to happen…where I’ll be next year this time.

We’ll be talking about a new Presidential Election…arguably a pretty weighty decision for the American people looking at the challenges in our near future.

We’ll be celebrating the 2012 Summer Olympics (yes!  I love the Olympic games!)

It will be a leap year…hello February 29th.

Adventures Youth (my new program) will send 4,700 teenagers on life-changing mission adventures.

AIM will train over 1,000 individuals and mobilize them out to over 60 nations.  (Think about this: if every person touched one life, 1,000 people will hear about Jesus this next year…if they each touched ten, 10,000 people are going to hear about Jesus…)

Kenya, India and Thailand will all have long-term teams in place helping develop communities, rescue victims of genocide, rehabilitate women caught in sex trafficking and prostitution.

I look forward to this year…Anticipation, it’s a good emotion.  I don’t often prefer it (as many of my friends will tell you).  But I think it’s different when there’s an assurance.  I’m supposed to be here, doing this.

Since many of you have been following my posts from this past month, here’s where I’m at: I’m in need of gifts or pledges for my remaining $5,000 that I’ve agreed to raise to support this ministry and its endeavors.  I’m still looking for quite a few $30 a month for a year partners.  It’s not too late.  It’s going to be a good year, are you in?
