C squad made it to Nicaragua tonight and are settled in. They are doing well but are bushed! The jet lag of being in SE Asia for 4 months is just hitting, not to mention some crazy amounts of traveling. The LA stop was a net positive, but hightlighted the need for a really good reentry program.
They’re all bunked in at Pastor Flores church here in Granada tonight and will be here getting briefed on Nic by Charles Kaye and Pastor Flores and a couple of others tomorrow.
They had the most awesome welcome tonight when we arrived in Granada from the airport, about 9:30 pm. There must have been 30 people from the church there. Pastor Flores greeted them and then they led us in a couple of praise songs, with English and Spanish being sung together. Sweet. Afterwards, the pastors wife and church had prepared a wonderful meal and the youth of the church then served the world racers, briniging them plates of food and drinks. This is the first missionary team that’s been here for his church; it’s something they’ve been asking the Lord for for a long time. The outreach here will be good.
Pray for the teams. They need another day or two of rest to get acclimated to this side of the world, but alas we get on a bus at 4am on Tuesday to get to Puerto Cabezas.
God is good.
