Mexico has been a great experience for us thus far. It has been one of the hardest things many of my teammates have experienced, but the fruit has been apparent. We have spent a fair amount of time discussing the foundations for intercessory prayer, spiritual warfare, living a life of intentional ministry and all around learning to slow down and just be. Our little town is under an incredible oppression, visitors that come to our site consistently comment about how sleepy they become when they step foot in the city. The entire town is under and incredible amount of bondage and live oppressed, apathetic, relgious lives that show no apparent joy or understanding of Christ saving power. Our prayers for the people feel like brick walls sometimes. Its crazy but the people here seem to be content to live in their sheltered, sad lifestyles. That being said, my teammates and I have been broken for this community and will not soon forget the ministry that is desperately needed in Arroyo Palenque. We have seen a precious two individuals come to Christ and one woman healed. It might not seem like much, but it has become everything to us.
We leave on Friday for a couple days of debrief and then on Sunday we race to Guatemala! It doesnt feel like we have been here a month already but SO much has happened. Thanks for all your prayers, support and love! I miss all the family and friends I have and think of you all often!
Hasta luego!
