I’m so excited and grateful to say that I am now FULLY FUNDED FOR THE WORLD RACE!!! I’ve said this so many times, but I’m just so blown away by how God has provided this money for me so quickly! Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed for me, reached out to me, and/or encouraged me. All of your support means more to me than I’m able to explain.
I was a little late to the game in joining the October route for the World Race. I was accepted June 4th and started fundraising June 9th. I knew I had a $5,000 deadline I needed to meet by July 20th. When I initially applied for the World Race, God gave me such a peaçe that this was what He wanted me to do, so I knew He would provide in every way for me to be able to go, but this $5,000 deadline still made me a bit nervous. In the first two days, through an Adopt-A-Box fundraiser, I was able to raise $700+. I was super pumped about that, but God had a bigger surprise up His sleeve for me. A couple days later I received a $4,350 anonymous donation!!! I still to this day have no idea who donated that to me, but I am so so so thankful.
A couple of weeks later, I clearly remember telling a friend the story of How God showed up and blessed me with that generous donation. I told her, “I think God is done with His miracles for me. I think I’ll really need to put in a lot more work for the rest of my donations”. But I’m not joking… the very next day I had a $500 anonymous donation and a few days after that I received a $1,150 anonymous donation! At this point, I was thinking, “Okay, I guess I shouldn’t put limitations on God. He is going to provide in whatever way He wants to!”
Fast forward to training camp, I was somewhere in the $13,000 range. During one of the days of camp, I received the best text EVER telling me $2,750 was going to be donated to me. ANOTHER SHOCKER!
So I get home from training camp and I’m receiving a few donations here and there, then something really cool happened with one of my squadmates, Schyler. She figured she would have to sell her car because she wouldn’t be able to pay for it while she was on the World Race. She was inspired to start praying more boldly and specifically after reading a daily devotional her friend sent her. So she prayed to God and said she would love to be able to keep her car so she didn’t have to go through the process of buying a new one once she was home. The very next day at church, a man told her he had someone he wanted her to meet. She was then informed that her car would completely be taken care of for the 11 months while she’s gone. Someone would be paying for both her insurance and car payment upfront in cash so that she could keep her car!!!
Soooo her story inspired me and I decided to also be specific and bold in my prayer. I knew I had around $1200 left until I was fully funded so I asked God (this was last week) if He could provide that money from someone in one lump sum. Over this past weekend, I had a friend and her husband reach out to me and ask how much money I still needed to raise. I told her $1200 and she said that her and her husband decided they would like to cover that amount! I also found out that $1200 was the EXACT amount of money God had given them as extra money through her husband’s job!
God provides!!! And there are no coincidences. God has taught be so much throughout this fundraising process. Definitely don’t put God in a box or put limitations on what you think He will and can do. With a little faith, God can move mountains!

So please do not donate to my World Race account anymore. But I’ve spent over $2,000 on hiking/backpacking gear (very expensive) and vaccinations (international travel vaccinations are also very expensive), so if you were still hoping to donate to me, I am still taking donations to help cover those expenses. I’m also trying to save some money so I have some spending money on the race that the $18,700 doesn’t cover. The $18,700 covers all my travel and lodging expenses, a food budget, and travel health insurance. All other costs will be coming from my own bank account.
