Life is just a series of beautiful moments one right after another.
Training Camp was one of those beautiful moments.
The thing about beautiful moments, however, are sometimes you only see them after they are done. While at Training Camp it was messy, wet, difficult, sad, and just ALOT emotionally, spiritually and physically. I slept on a school bus with my entire team of 50ish people, I had to eat portioned food at every meal and from all different countries, I had to be ready and packed (tent and all) at 7AM every morning, and I had to release a lot of my past hurts, numbness and struggles to let God work through my ready heart.
God was evident and there in such a beautiful way. Through all of my sin and mess of a self He showed up. He revealed to me so many different things about my past and why I feel the way I do today.
One huge thing that God taught me was grief. How we have to grieve in order to potentially feel the full joy that God has in store for us. God is so evident in grieving. He wants to heal the past wounds that you have gone through. He wants you to go back to those times where you were hurt and truly cry over it and truly just become undone. Once this is done God can work there. He can heal that infection. The infection can be a lie that you've lived your life around or it can be something that was done to you when you were little and that you have been carrying around.
Guys and Gals. You were worth it. God loved you so much that He sent His son and He wouldn't have it any other way. He WANTED to do it for YOU. Yes, YOU. The person who is reading this right now- God found you WORTH it. You are loved beyond measure. You are a beautiful daughter/son of the Lord and He wants to show you that. You are no longer bound by those lies that were once fed to you when you were little. You are no longer bound by any lies in which your parents have fed you. You are no longer bound by any lies in which a boy or a girl that you liked have fed you.
Feast on some real TRUTHS:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. – John 1:12
you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies – 1 Corinthians 6:20
