Hello friends and family! Welcome to another fun filled updated about my life and the WorldRace! Since training camp has ended life at home has continued to be crazy and overwhelming. My days have been filled with working long hours, preparing medical paperwork, receiving my immunizations, making last minute trips to REI, visiting the dentist and various doctors, and hanging out with family and friends. Essentially I’ve been preparing myself to leave and the details that go into that are enough to make even the most organized person go crazy. The good news is that I am getting a lot of things done because I have become a list maker, highlighter-er, and crosser-offer. (It’s funny because I always used to mock people who did this, and now I’m one of them)
As of today, I am officially 23 days away from being in Costa Rica! A part of me is excited because I know this trip is going to be life changing. A part of me is also overwhelmed and stressed because of everything I still have yet to do. I think I am feeling this way because I still have $3,000 that is due to make the deadline. The deadline is September 23rd—in order for donations to be fully processed in the system…ALL ONLINE DONATIONS MUST BE MADE BY THIS FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 16TH! That only gives me until the end of the week. I’d be lying to you if I said I wasn’t nervous about meeting the deadline. Although I am nervous about where the funds are going to come from, I am confident that the Lord is going to provide for me in an absolutely miraculous way. I am asking for your help and prayers this week! I would love for you to partner with me on this journey. Whether your help is financial or through prayer, both of those things are invaluable to me. I will be sure to keep you all updated on where I’m at financially! Be sure to keep posted this week—I have a lot of exciting things coming up.
