Remember that one time when…

We lived in a tree house at a boy’s home in Mozambique, Africa with 25 boys…

We had a ton of land with a volleyball court, soccer field, and Frisbee golf course to play on all day every day…

We had an ample supply of fresh mangos straight from their trees…

We often got approached by the massive bull and two cows wanting to eat our precious mangos…

We made “cake” a.k.a fried doughnuts multiple times during the week, with the boys, and sprinkled Snow White all over to make them sweeter.

We watched movies most nights, with popcorn every night…

We took the boys to the beach, and swam in the Indian ocean twice…

I got to sit down and teach English to a 14-year-old boy, who then in return gave me lessons in Portuguese…

We got to watch one of the older boys play in a basketball tournament, and some of the others in a soccer match…

We learned a great deal about the bible during bible studies 3 times a week…

We were taught about the importance and biblical references of a Sabbath and was able to observe it once a week.

My heart broke hearing many of the boys stories as to how they came to the home…

Was able to meet a couple of the boys moms that live down the street, and talk about how much we have fallen in love with their sons…

Tears ran down all of our faces as we said goodbye, and drove away…
