Today we celebrate and American Thanksgiving day,
I’m here in Africa to give the world hope, joy, love, and also to pray.

I am on the World Race, where I travel for just about a year,
Where you don’t know what you look like, because you don’t have a mirror.

I would like to give thanks to the things in my pack,
Some of these things, which keep me from turning back.

I am thankful for my keens that are so comfy on my feet,
Although a little stinky, I think are pretty neat.

I am thankful for the hammock I have to hang up and relax in,
I sleep, sit and swing in it, and allow my mind to spin

I brought an extra blanket that I always use at night
Sometimes it is hard to pack, I have to strap it in tight.

I have a minor confession to tell, please don’t make fun of me,
I brought a stuffed giraffe, he’s my comfort and cute as can be

I’m thankful for my deodorant, I have yet to run out,
You will notice in most countries that locals go without.

I have duplicates of razors and toothbrushes that I know I could always use,
Every four months or so, I have a new one to choose

I have to admit that even with all these things I have this year,
I am most thankful for the friends I have right next to me to help me steer.

I love my team I have with me, and the family that we have made,
Team Unveiled, and our relationships I pray will never fade.

I know that this was short at most
But I don’t have too much to boast

And remember I’m in Africa, with sketchy Internet and power
Il try and download this soon, but first I need a shower.

I miss all my family and friends back home. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving. I am sad I am not there to spend time with you, but know that I have a wonderful family right here beside me to spend time with.

Thank you all for your support and continued prayers!
