On our travel days this month we flew through the US. We got the opportunity to fly through LAX and I just so happen to have a team member whose parents live in LA. They were so gracious to let us tell our family they could send things to us through them. It was such a great blessing.
My dad sent me some important things and also some great news articles about all the flooding in Boulder. I got some great notes that made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
My Aunt sent me a package containing a few personnel items (like sports bras) and one huge surprise. Let me set the stage for you so you can feel like you were there.
It's about 11:00 pm in LAX. I have been traveling since 4:00am in MST so 3:00 am in LA. I was beat. We had just gotten back from dinner with Elizabeths parents and Zacks aunt and uncle. I sat down and opened the package from my aunt and there were my sports bras 2 of them, even though I only asked for one. And some great food items like chips and cookies. Homemade cookies that are my favorite. Then I reach in that lovely box and what do I take out… Well it was a small rapped gift in christmas wrapping paper that says Merry Christmas on it..
Oh my goodness you should have seen the water works that came from that little blessing. I had 2 of my teammates sitting with me and they just sat there and comforted me as I sat for about 5 minutes trying to stop crying.
Why, you might ask, did I cry so much? Well, The truth is on this trip we are tired and pour out as much as we possibly can. We miss home and work hard. So just the little blessing that we receive can be so touching in our lives.
I have been on this journey now for 3 whole months and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's everything you can imagine. It's hard. We are hot and cold and tired and weak but we are also rich and strong and rewarded and loved. And at the end of the day, we are exactly where God wants us. And that is the best blessing of all.
So thanks for all your love and support. Please continue to pray for us as we travel through month 4! I love you all!
