MEETING
IVY
This month I had the opportunity to get to work with Sarah's Covenant Home. Here we met 10 amazing kids. All of whom are under the age of 5. We were asked at the beginning of the month to find a child to love on for the month. As a team we agreed to take the first full day to get to know all the kids and hopefully it will be obvious who belongs with which kid. And so we did.
(This is Ivy at the middle of the month. She is already looking so much better)
So as we walked in to hang out with the kids, we were met by so many cute little faces wanting and needing love. At this point we had 7 kids and 7 people on our team. It was perfect. One little girl of about 2 years old was in the hospital and we acquired 2 more about 2 1/2 weeks into our stay here.
(Here is a picture of my team and I with our sweet little ones. From Left to Right Brittany with Ruby, Cheyenne with Alisha, Me with Ivy, Grace with Riley, Kristen with Zara, and Shanda with Theo.)
We played with the kids that were big enough. Fed the little ones. And then I was given Ivy to hold and feed. As I was holding her I felt like Goldie Locks. She fit just right. It was amazing. I held her most of that first day and just knew she was my baby girl for this month.

And
she
has
been
my
baby
girl
since.
Ivy is around 6 months old. She is beautiful. She came to us because she was severley malnourished. This past month there has been such a change in her its crazy. She was so tiny when I held her the first time. She had almost no meat on her and she was just the tiny little thing with almost no control over her body.

(Here is a picture of Here when I first met her.)
After the past three weeks she is filling out nicely. She started the month in pre-me clothes even though she was almost 6 months old and is now in new born size clothes. She had no muscle or anything on her arms or legs. And now she is starting to get some muscle on her limbs.
And Here is
Ivy Now…
Ivy is so sweet. She is growing and is healthy enough to be moved to the less intensive location next month. She has learned this month to keep her head up and to sit up with some assistance. She laughs and talks to me when I come in to see her. She loves to be tickled and held. She only cries when she doesn't like something or she needs something. She is a perfectly amazing and my heart will for sure be staying here with her at the end of this month.
SO
THANK
YOU
ALL!
Thanks so much for all your love and support. Without it I would not have been changed by this remarkable little girl!
