It is 2:57pm on Friday, July 23rd.

I am in the farthest possible corner of the F terminal in Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

I am one flight away from Calgary; home.

I am one flight away from Atlanta; my final destination.

This marks the start of World Race Training Camp. Where I spend the next 10 days meeting and bonding with my Gap D squad, getting assigned my team mates, and letting God prepare us for the next 9 months!

I have absolutely positively no clue what is in store for us, and that’s hard to grasp. I read a blog the other day that summed up how I feel perfectly. (Blog)

Ready is a lie

& it steals

all your hopes & dreams.

& it paralyzes

your feet from moving.

& it cripples

your heart from believing life is most beautiful when living in the unknown.

I don’t feel ready, but I’m not letting that stop me. I’m going.

For me, this will be a great lesson of learning how to work with the unexpected, something I’ll be doing every day next year.

Bon Voyage,

Jill
