46 days and counting until we launch out to the Philippines! I
remember this past March when I first accepted to go on The World Race,
September seemed like such a distant future and now it is right around the
corner. I spent this past week training in Georgia with the rest of my squad
(52 others). It was a life changing experience! I’m pumped about finishing the
next 7 weeks here at home with excellence and then jumping with both feet into this year long
journey!!
One of the biggest things I need to finish before I leave is
raising my support. I am SO thankful for everyone who has donated thus far! I
am so very thankful for the people the Lord has put in my path … people that
love me, people that believe in me, people that are praying for me … currently
I have raised $9,000 in one-time and monthly gifts! As you may or may not know
my total need is $13,800 … so I’m hitting the final stretch of the fundraising.
helping me with a creative FUNdraising idea. Darlene Edwards, an award winning
quilter, has donated a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L quilt which will be raffled off with
all proceeds going towards my trip. Please see pictures below. It is
a lap quilt made up of primarily black and gold. For every $10 donated your
name will go in a drawing for this quilt. The drawing will take place Monday,
September 22. Delivery or shipping arrangements will be made with the winner. If
