Hey guys! I’m Jill. I’ve just accepted my “mission” for the World Race, July 2013- ROUTE 2!! I still can’t believe I’m going to be traveling around the world for 11 months to spread- not just the good- but the GREAT news of Jesus Christ! I also can’t believe I’m leaving my career, friends, community, family and church behind—but I know God will take care of them while I’m gone. I have my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which was my second option after I was not accepted into the Physical Therapy Doctorate program at UTC. I have been accepted to the Graduate school of Business and School Psychology (at different times) and backed out of both. Wow, how things work out according to HIS PLAN and not MINE! I’m currently a Resource Coordinator at Omni Visions (aka-social worker) in therapeutic foster care. I work with children, 0-18yrs, in my region & surrounding regions. I have many interests and stay busy often! I try to stay open-minded and LOVE adventure & the outdoors! I’ll be turning 25 years old on the mission field on July 25, 2013 (FUN FACT!). I grew up at Falling Water Baptist, switched to Abba’s house (non-denominational) and now attend Christ Family Church of God in good ole Soddy-Daisy, TN (since Oct 2010)! I’ve seen & experienced more spiritual growth through God in the past 2 years than ever in my entire life! I’ve lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee all of my life and though I’ve traveled away to other places—I’ve NEVER traveled this far away, alone… and not for this long!! YIKES!!! I went to Cusuna, Honduras last year for 9 days (first time out of the country), with an elder from church and some others I didn’t know. It was an experience with The Amazing God Almighty—based on trust and letting God move & use me– no matter the language barrier, no matter the location. It was also a trip of trials & self-discovery. I CANNOT imagine, at all, how life-changing this experience will be! BUT, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). When faced with fear of the unknown, I can always lean on God’s WORD! I still can’t believe GOD chose me, but I finally ACCEPT “HIS” purpose for me!! I surrender ALL! I’m READY, PUMPED & EXCITED (not going to lie.. still a tad bit nervous)!! BUT!! BRING ON THE POWERFUL MOVE OF GOD!!
