The Beginning of My Journey
Today is the end of my second day here in the Dominican Republic! And I am beyond thankful for being here!! I am beyond thankful for all of you that have supported me through your prayers and your financial support. I am here first of all because God chose me to come along on this amazing journey, and also I am here thanks to all of you!!
Since the beginning of this calling that I felt to go on a mission, I decided to call it a journey. And let me tell you, it truly has been an amazing journey just getting here. You may be asking yourself what is a journey? And I am currently reading a book called Kingdom Journeys by Seth Barnes, and he couldn’t have described this for me in a more perfect way. “A journey is an act of leaving — a process of physical abandon that teaches us how to do the same spiritually. “Seth Barnes
Being part of the World Race, being here on the Dominican Republic is the beginning of my journey!! My Kingdom Journey! My kingdom journey is first and foremost about expanding God’s reign in the world and increasing it inside my heart. God has allowed me to go through many desserts which at times I didn’t understand why, and they hurt so much! But now being on this journey I realize that I had to go through the things that I’ve been through in order for my heart to be softened enough and open enough for God to bring me on this journey!!
Today was our second day of ministry here in the DR. And my team and I (Reckless Warriors) have been assigned to be the the prayer warriors!
Yesterday and today my team and I had the opportunity to pray for this town where we are currently living in. The town is a beautiful mountainous area called Lajas de Yaroa. And today we got an awesome invitation to attend an all women’s meeting held in the community center. I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to share my testimony with these beautiful Dominican women and share the love of God with them. It was amazing to allow the Holy Spirit move through me because I wouldn’t have been able to do it if it wasn’t for His help and for the prayers that I received from my team! I saw women being touched by God’s Holy Spirit and their hearts open up to us and to God! It was amazing
Also, We have been prayer walking around the town, and we know that many strongholds are being broken down, chains are being broken, lives are being shaken for the Kingdom of God!
The enemy is being defeated as we are prayer walking around! And the enemy knows how powerful Jesus is and how his kingdom here in Lajas is being broken down, and he has been doing all he can to hurt us. We as a squad have been encountering many attacks from the enemy, especially on our sleep. The enemy wants to hurt us where it hurts the most; whether through nightmares on our sleep or by reminding us of our pasts hurts and trying not to allow us to move forward.
BUT…. Greater is He who is in us, than He who is in this world!!
Jesus is on our side! He is our strong man fighting these battles with us and for us! Jesus has already won the battles! As His word says;
“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder. (Luke 11:17-18, 21-22? NIV)
God is with us! And He is protecting us and guiding us. He is winning battles here! And He has chosen to use us as His vessels! I am behind thankful to God for being on this journey with Him! I am thankful for those deserts that I had to go through because I am here now, enjoying His love and His presence more and more! I am thankful for all of you who are praying for me and my team. Believe me I feel your prayers and love as God strengthens me when I am weak. Thank you all for your support!! Please continue to keep me and my O squad in your prayers so we can continue to do God’s work here in the Dominican Republic, so God’s will will be done!
May God bless you all and may you continue to stay strong in the Lord! No matter what the circumstances may be!
Greater is He who is in us, than he who is in this world!!
With so much love;
Con mucho amor y cariño!
Desde la Republica Dominicana!
Jhacky!!
