God is great!! Let me just say that!! God is great!! I am writing this on a hot, humid, rainy season night here in Belize! And I wanted to write and share this with you all because God has been working in my life greatly and I just have to share it!

So about a week or so I was struggling with something. I was struggling with letting go of one of one of my awesome

earthly possessions that God has had allowed me to have for the past 9 years; my car! My 2005 Acura TL!  Why I think it was a hard decision for me to make to let it go was because it was one of the first possessions that I acquired that I got to work so hard towards, buy it brand new and paid of all of! It was a good car to me! I knew that I had to let it go the minuet that I got accepted into the WR because what was the point to just simply have a car sitting for a whole year, and plus the funds of the sale of the car could help me fund my Race and to have funds to pay my bills while I’m gone! So… Once again I knew I had to let it go! I had planned to sell it about October or November which was closed to launch date, but God had other plans for me! He wanted me to let it go sooner!! I wasn’t prepared for that, but I had to do it!!

The weekend before I sold my car God spoke to me greatly through a preaching! It was the Sunday before I sold it. God spoke to me through Acts 4:32-37

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet. (Acts 4:32-37  NIV)

Through these verses I true commitment being broken down into 3 main things; unity, freedom, and generosity.

In verse 32 it talks about how everything was not considered as their own possession’s but God’s possessions! All of the believers were in one mind, and in one heart! Which is how I feel that my fellow brothers and sisters from the World Race are! We are states, and even countries apart and yet we are united by God’s love! We are united by the Holy Spirit and by the fact that we are all taking this leap of faith as we will embark on this journey with God!

in verse 33 and 34 it talks about how they shared with one another! And how there was nobody with a need!! They sold their houses, their possessions and gave it to the disciples to provide for their every need!!! Which is what you all that have supported are doing! You are all providing for the kingdom of heaven!  Your support, your prayers, your generosity is going to be shared across the world!! And who I am not to do the same for God’s love?!!! This made it easy for me to be able to let go of my early possession to not only provide for myself, but my other brother and sisters in the race!! Letting go of our earthly possessions for the kingdom of heaven requires commitment too! It’s not easy but with God all things are possible! When we commit to serve together; whether it is serving together through your prayers, or your support, we allow unity to take place!

Also, while we are here in Belize, it’s giving us the opportunity to share God’s love and whatever we have with many children here in Belize as we play with them on the Vacation Bible Schools that we are doing, also by sharing with them the many crafts and little goodies that we have for them! God is calling us to be generous and share his love!

Freedom
True commitment allows for freedom! When we commit ourselves to serve Jesus we are are setting ourselves free. Freedom happens  when we can exchange slavery, for joy.
Verse 34,37 talks about selling the field.those who sold their land use the money to serve others as they needed.
The freedom- gave their money to the apostles feet and told them use this for God’s glory. That exchange brought them freedom.  Here in Belize we are having the freedom to share. God’s love and is taking true commitment because we have to endure the spiritual battle, the heat, the humidity, exhaustion, bugs and other things. However when have the freedom to serve God and that brings freedom and joy to our souls no matter the circumstances!!
When you give of your time, your talents, when you do that, God blesses you above and beyond that you can imagine! We are so blessed to be here in Belize and serve others!! And I’m sure that on the WR I’ll have many more experiences that will bless me way beyond that I can imagine! And all of you will also have the joy to serve God along with me because of your love and support!

When you let go of things, you tell God… God you be glorified!! Once again, I was reminded that letting go of my earthly possession was ok! And that God would be glorified in my life! And He has!!

Last, but not least!
Generosity
Verse 36-37 is this kind of generosity to take place! In these verses is expressed in the sharing of material possessions! What an extravagant thing it was to give all that money and give it the church. What an extravagant expression of witnessing of God’s love it was to share it with God! What an extravagant thing it is for you to share your esthly possessions, your financial support to help me!!!! I can never thank you enough for your support!!! But God will!!!!
When we honor God we esteem him above else! God calls us to be generous in the way we honor Him!
God wants us to be extravagant in the way we worship Him and not only being generous financially. Be generous in the way that we worship Him! Extravagantly generously worshipping Him! Let’s worship Him together on our everyday walk, let’s make our heavenly Father proud of us!!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this because I know it’s long! But it’s what God has been speaking to my heart lately and I just wasted to share it!!

may God bless you and have a happy and safe 4th of July!!!
