Sawatdee!!! (Means hello in Thai)

Yes I am now in month 6, halfway through this race!! and yes I am in the beautiful country of Thailand!!! After 3 different planes, 30 plus hours of travel and not much sleep, and an 8 hour buss ride we have finally made it to our ministry host for the month here in Mae Sot, Thailand!

This month we are working with a ministry in Mae Sot, called Outpouring Ministries. Mae Sot is a city right near the border of Burma, so as far as I know, it seems as if we are in Burma since many Burmese people live here. Outpour ministries dedicates their time and love to the Thai and Burmese community of poor villages of Burma and “No Man’s Land” which is on the Thai border.

This month we have been working hand in hand with the amazing people from Outpour, and literally helping them out where it’s been needed. They are amazing men and women that have listened to the call that God has given them and given up everything back in America to come into Thailand and serve in this ministry full time. And we are more than happy to serve along them in whatever they need!

One of their ministries is called Seeds! And seeds is a ministry that is here to serve the future generations of Thailand. They are focusing on helping young men and women who are in need of God’s love and who may need help through life. And there is one amazing men of God who felt the calling from God to help and serve young men who are lost and in need of His love. And he has rented a huge space where it will be part of Seeds, where young men can feel comfortable to be in, and have a free space to play sports, have teachings and receive the true love of God! And we were able to be part of this, by going into the place and painting it and converting it from just a living space, to a nice looking home, a home that can host these young men one day!!! And while we painted we prayed over the walls, over every room so this vision can come true! So to some people painting may be just manual labor, and not much mission minded, but to us, and the vision minded people from Outpour staff, this painting job is sooo much more for God’s Kingdom!

And we too have partner with Outpour staff and helped them with teaching English at a children’s home called The Refuge. And it’s been a blessing to help these beautiful young Burmese men and women learn our language, and also showing them God’s love!

And the coolest thing is that we get to place to place on our cool form of transportation…. Our BMW’s!!! ….. Our Bicycles!!!! Yes we travel around town in our cool little bikes on the beautiful, HOT, and humid days of Thailand! And sometimes, we bike around town on the downpours of this rainy season that we get to experience here!

So yeah…. Our day to day can be different each day! It’s not easy, but it’s not impossible because God gives us His strength! Like I said before, we are blessed to be doing life with an amazing group of people who are Kingdom minded and who just love The Lord!

Please pray for my team for continuous strength from The Lord, please pray for this beautiful country so we can somehow make a difference wherever we go, and pray for the amazing staff members from Outpour Movement so they can continue to do the work that God has called them to do.

I thank you for your continuous support and love!!

Until next time!

much love,

Jhacky
