Here is a little more about my amazing experiences at my training camp!
As I stated previously on my last blog, training camp was hard, but it was also awesome! One of the best experiences of my life so far! I thank God for every single part of it, even those though ugly moments, I wouldn’t change them for the world because all of it was such a blessing in the end.
Why do I title this blog “Ask and You Shall Receive”? Well… You see… during training camp in one of the nights that we just had worship I asked the Holy Spirit to reveal His love and to be poured over me and to allow me to feel Him in a special way. I asked Him with all my heart and with all my soul, in a really deep and personal way like I never have before… And the next thing you know; an amazing, amazing fire like heat overcame my whole body, some awesome chills from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head was felt. An overwhelming peace and joy took over me completely like it never has before!
See…. Earlier that day we learned about how God speaks to us in various and in very different ways. Some people actually have heard His voice, others received visions, and some through dreams, or through laughter during worship, which is something that I have always felt weird about and never really experienced it myself. And they told us that each person experiences God’s love and His presence in the different ways, and not get frustrated if you haven’t experienced any of those ways of receiving His love, or experiencing His love, since we are all different and that He will speak to us in unique ways.
And I have been experiencing God’s love in my life more and more and I believe it also has to do with the fact that I am yearning for His love and I am hungry for His word more than I have ever been before in my life. And thankfully I do come from a church that is open the Holy Sprit and that worships in a very open and freely way, however I don’t think that I had ever open my heart and my soul to worshipping God and receiving His presence in such a free way as I did at training camp on that night.
That night during the worship, I told God… Lord let me feel you! Let me feel Your presence! Let it not be just a momentarily feeling, but an experience of Your love that can be with me forever! And I opened my heart to receiving His presence like I never have before. I allowed my heart to be completely free, and to not be judgmental or to feel weird when I would see other people experiencing His love through laughter or maybe speaking in tongues. And as I was telling God that, His presence overflowed my spirit in a way that it has never been before!!! I felt His presence in life in such an amazing way! His peace, His love, His fire, His joy overwhelmed my body and I just continued to worship God in thanksgiving because He answered me. And all of a sudden an amazing joy beyond what I can explain took control of me and I found myself laughing! Laughing of joy like I never had before! I was in awe of God’s love! I was overwhelmed by His love and by His joy like I never had before!
That night, I worshipped God in a way that I never had before. And I am so thankful because He answered my prayer, He allowed me receive His presence and be joyful without any limitations or boundaries. It was amazing! And I thank God because His presence is still with me now. My worship to Him is free! I now continue to have dance parties with my heavenly Daddy and just enjoy His love as He pours it over me!
I don’t know why I had to wait to feel His presence the way that I did until that day, why that night of training camp? I don’t’ know? I don’t’ know if is because I had finally learn about how to worship freely, or just because my heart was so vulnerable and open, but what I do know is when we ask the Lord with all of our heart and when we seek Him earnestly…. He is a faithful father and He answers! And I thank God because His presence is not momentarily but is still with me! He is with us! He is with us always! Ask and you shall receive!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” Jeremiah 29:11-14
I just wanted to share an amazing experience that I had with God at training camp, and to testify that when we seek Him, He allows us to find more of Him! I encourage you to seek Him earnestly daily, to be hungry for His Word, for His presence and believe me… You can experience His magnificent and amazing love! No matter how hard circumstances may be, or how hard life may be… Seek God with all your heart and He will be found, He will strengthen us and give more of His love and His presence! Experiencing His amazing love is the best thing in life!
God is a mighty and amazing God!!
