So heres the deal:
The World Race Expedition is a “specialty route” of traditional world race routes. Its to focus on a specific geographical area where countries are considered to be apart of the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window are areas in the world where the Gospel of Christ is not reached.
So my region is the middle east and I’ll be going to China, Nepal, India, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia!
As a kid I always used to ask questions like, “Well how can someone be saved if they never hear the gospel? What about those people on those secluded islands or villages in the mountains?”. Now those questions are, “What about the cultures whose ansestors have only known one religion, and that is all that’s passed down from generation to generation? What about the countries who do not allow freedom of religion, where citizens are only exposed to one kind of faith?” As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that God has placed people where they are meant to be and that his divine purpose is Always in motion. But thats why I believe God puts passions like this in my heart and why organizations like this exist.
Despite all of the ups and downs any country faces, we can not forget how fortunate we are here in America. Our freedom of speech and religion is a gift. And this allows us to be open to soooo many opinions, and gives people the opportunity to make up their mind and choose for themselves. This is not the case everywhere. Our mission, on this mission trip, is to just spread the Gospel in places it might never be heard. And simply pray that God open their hearts to His Word. Not here to convince, but simply to share.
Ive always had a passion for world missions and I’ve finally accepted that this passion of mine isn’t going to go away. There will never be a time that will be convenient enough to quit your job and pack up your life in a 65L pack and leave your home for a year.
Ive traveled so much this year and it was not as fulfilling for me as I thought it would be. Until my last trip of the year was a mission trip to Uganda. And man did that shake me up! Waking up everyday and having your mind set on nothing but the Lord really will do wonders for the mind.
Ive gotten so complacent in my life and its time to get uncomfortable. God has surely been putting me through lessons and trials to get to this point. I thank Him for them all cause I know they are to build my endurance and strengthen me for this trip.
More to come…
So please sign up for updates if you wanna follow along:)
