Good Afternoon! This is my first blog post on my new world race blog. I am beyond excited for what is to come in the upcoming months. I will be leaving my home town in Kansas for nine months to do mission work in Ecuador, Zambia, Malawi, Nepal, and India. This will be an adventure for the books!
This season for Lent, I decided to take on the challenge of being still. Now this may seem easy, but it is very hard for me. I get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of this world, that many days I go without dwelling in the presence of Jesus. Being still to me means:
-taking time out of my day to sit and listen to Jesus
-reading a powerful book without any distraction
-setting my phone aside when I am around people
-asking Jesus for a peaceful heart
-being present and balanced
This is definitely a challenge for me, but with patience and lots of grace from Jesus, I know that I will grow in being still.
