I’m in Africa, it’s one am and I using this time to blog. Sorry mom my priorities might be a little off. My team and I have been in the lovely city of Lusaka, Zambia for almost three weeks now and I am in love. Never have I so quickly fallen in love with a place or its people. Zambia is beautiful. The sky is blue and always filled with large white clouds. The colors are vibrant. The climate is warm. The people are all so friendly and the coffee is delicious. When I arrived, the Lord gave me the word home. At first I wasn’t sure why, but after being so welcomed by the locals and meeting our ministry host I knew that I will always be welcome here. We work with an organization called Eagles Nest. Two days out the week we teach at the ministries school. I teach 1st grade and occasionally help teach 5th grade. These kids come from some pretty dark situations, but are so filled with light. Also the school is bright yellow. What a better color. The rest of the week we go to a small group at the church. Even though I didn’t think this is what ministry looked like Abba is teaching me that we can be filled up by the people we pour out to. Which is exactly what happens at small group. We just share. We share what God has done, is doing, and all the things he’s going to do. We go on prayer walks and reach the people. Ministry isn’t always set, but I know God has such good things for time we have here. Thank to everyone who got me here and has been praying for me along the way. Gods done some crazy things on the journey. And although is it shortly coming to end I can’t wait to see the things he is going to do the next two months.
