Oh my Jesus. You love her so much.
You love her quirks – her silly songs and goofy dances. You love her introspective, inquisitive nature. You love her heart for your children, her friends, and her family. You love the way she speaks in funny voices and tells stories about all of her awkward moments. You love her fun-loving, adventure-seeking spirit.
You love her desire to listen to other people’s stories. You love the way she doesn’t just see the unseen and hear the unheard – she reaches out and touches them, welcoming them into her life and guiding them into your arms.
You love her worship, whether it’s under her breath or at the top of her lungs. You love the way she recognizes your hand in the beauty that surrounds her; the way she sees your breathtaking artistry in all creation.
You love her, Jesus. You love her so much.
You know her so intimately. You created her so intricately. You know her sadness – her confusion, disappointment, and pain. You know that she struggles to see you in her sometimes. You are proud of the way she gives so much of herself, and you kneel down as she crawls to you, desperately needing to be filled.
You lift her up into your lap and you rock her gently, stroking her hair and catching her tears. You kiss the top of her head and sing her sweet love songs. You listen to her heart-cries and remind her of your worth.
You tell her every beautiful thing about her, from her eyelashes to her fingernails to her birthmarks to her toes. Her wildest dreams, her deepest desires, her laugh, and her heart. You tell her that everything you have ever created – every single detail of your handiwork – is good, and that includes her. She is good because you are good.
You whisper something into her ear that makes her laugh because you love to remind her of the joy you have given her; the joy that overflows, even when she is sad. You give her a kitten to hold while you hold her, smiling while she tells you stories about her heart. You know her heart even better than she does, but you love when she tells you anyways. You delight in the sound of her voice.
You love her. You love her so much.
Sweet Jesus. Precious Father. Holy Spirit. Please hold her so tightly. Dance with her gracefully. Play with her freely. Dream with her wildly. Speak to her gently. Love her powerfully.
You love her so much. Please, please let her know it is true in the deepest depths of her heart. Tonight. Tomorrow. Always.
