…we made prayer rocks. We asked campers to choose rocks to decorate however they wanted. When they finished decorating, we wrapped wire around each rock so that they could hold pictures, cards, memories, reminders. The campers then received notecards to write verses to pray, situations to pray about, people to pray over.
I went there because God revealed to me that I should go…
Galatians 2:2
I spend a lot of time praying for guidance. I often don’t know which words to say and I often don’t know which way to go. I don’t know a whole lot about tomorrow and I don’t know a whole lot about the future.
I wrote this part of Galatians 2:2 on my notecard as I prayed for God to reveal to me where he wants me to go next. A few weeks later, he guided me towards the World Race and allowed me to say yes or no.
I love adventures and I love missions. I love cultures and I love community. I didn’t know where to go after graduation and I didn’t know what to do. These statements are all reasons why I am excited and grateful for the race. But my reason for saying yes?
I’m going because God revealed to me that I should go.

I need to raise a little over $1,550 each month for the next 11 months. The number can sound a bit daunting to my human ears, but nothing is too much for our Heavenly Father, and I trust him to provide. He has provided food and water and shelter. He has provided opportunities to learn and grow and serve. He has provided joy and peace and beauty. He has provided you.
I ask that you will pray for God to reveal to you your role in this journey. I am confident that he has not sent me on this adventure alone. He has blessed me with a community – family, friends, leaders, mentors – to walk alongside me, supporting me in prayer, in relationship, and in finances. Truly. I am immensely blessed by you.
Thank you for your love and kindness, your prayers and generosity.
Y’all are lovely, and I appreciate you.
