This has been one of the busiest months I have spent on the race and we have not been without things to do. Our team has had the pleasure of getting to work with two different churches this month and they have welcomed all of us with open arms and hearts. Here are some pictures of the things we have done.

Our afternoons are often spent having meals in the homes of different members of the church. In doing this we are able to connect with the body of Christ in such a sweet way, pray with them and get to know the families we have worked alongside in ministry.

The hearts that the people of these churches have for the community is really beautiful. These pictures show time spent following the Holy Spirit through several hospitals, Beach ministry and a Sunday in the plaza.

This sweet lady was the most wonderful hostess for the first week we were here, allowing three of us to stay with her and her family.

This picture shows one evening we spent with several churches from around the city. There were many booths representing different countries where the churches supported missionaries. Here we are able to commune with like minded people from around the world who act as God’s hands and feet to share the gospel with the nations.

Several days were and will continue to be spent giving a facelift to several classrooms in our base church. Some of us sanded and repainted kid’s tables and chairs and some (certainly not me) designed and painted this mural for one of the rooms.

Last but not least, here are a few pictures of more of our adventure days. We were able to stand on top of the mountain today and pray over the United States on 9/11.  (And Stephanie I have included a close-up of the flannel!)

Still to come this month:

– Spending the morning with patience in a drug rehabilitation center

– Children’s programs

– Continued messages in the weekly Bible Studies

– An old fashion lock-in for the teens and young adults from both churches

– Celebration of Chile’s Birthday (This may include “going to the moon” a famous Chilean spot in the desert that resembles the surface of the moon to visit our host’s family and camp out together before we leave.)
