Hey guys!
Just wanted to give a quick update! So my team and I are in Bali, Indonesia this month!!!! Sounds super glamorous but it’s totally not. We are working with a ministry called Grace family church and they are keeping us busy! Haha this morning we woke up at 6:30 for breakfast then started a the day with manual labor! We hauled rocks and bricks for about three and a half hours and boy was I sweatin!! It is crazy hot here! Then we spent about 4 hours walking around the hospital looking for opportunities to pray for people. It wa skins of difficult because we werent allowed to pray openly and we couldn’t read any signs directing us.
We are sleeping on mattresses on the floor and we have bucket showers and flushless toilets. Feels like Africa again and to be honest I am struggling with it. We just spent about a month in Malaysia which was overflowing with wifi, malls, clean beds, and freedom. Coming from that felt kind of like whiplash. God sure is teaching me a lot of lessons this month: Being joyful in EVERY situation!! Loving teamates and others even when it’s hard. And so many more that I will write about later!
Tomorrow we will be going to a village on a mountain and staying for a few days doing evangelism! Then for another week after that we will be back at Grace Family Church. I spoke with one of the men that work with our ministry and he is going to set us up with one of his friends to take surfing lessons!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! So excited!! The last week here will be a little less busy with much less structure and we will probably get to explore Bali more! 🙂 then to Thailand we go!!
