I remember over a year ago stalking the WorldRace website and reading everyone’s blogs. I thought it was crazy all the adventures they got to go on. All the crazy ministries they got to do and all the amazing people the got to love. And here I am, month 10 of the world race. And everything I looked at in complete awe, God showed me enough grace to be apart of it.

So here I am now, in Kathmandu, Nepal! A place I thought I would never find myself. But God has a funny way of making us be places and do things we thought we would never do or see to show us it’s not about our plans, but His.

So this month I am working at a ministry called Asha Nepal. Asha Nepal exists to help sexually abused and exploited woman and there children. There vision is to create a society free from sexual abuse and exploitation and trafficking of woman and children.

Asha Nepal is truly a blessing here in Kathmandu, here is just a few of the things they do..

1. Rescue sexually abused and exploited woman and children
2. Provide them with safe shelter, loving care, and counseling
3. Provide medical assistance and guidance
4. Share the Gospel with them so they can find salvation and worth from The Lord Jesus
5. Provide vocational training
6. Help capable woman to be financially self-suffient

So right now I am living in a house with 35 woman and children. Some of which were rescued from sex trafficking, don’t have any parents, or have HIV aids. Slowly by slowly we are starting to learn there stories. As we get closer with them, they share more with us about there past and the things they have experienced.

Today one of the youngest girls here shared how her mother died and her father has a lot of wives and wants nothing to do with her and that’s why she is here at Asha Nepal. We also met a girl here whose mother was in the sex  trade and because of that, they brought her and her daughter here and she has been safe from that life ever since. There is also a woman here who was tortured by her husband physically and mentally. The stories here are heartbreaking. But where there is heartbreak, there is also a lot of room for The Lord to show His great power, and that is what’s happening here at Asha Nepal. Because of all the heartbreak and pain in people’s life, the lords great power and mercy is being shown in all of there life’s and I get to be here to witness it!

Please pray for this month as we continue to serve. A lot of us are tired and miss our friends and family back in America. So please be praying for me and my squad as we finish strong!
