So…what does society tell us? We have to graduate high school, go to college and get a four year degree, go to grad school, find our significant other, get married, get a job, have kids and live happily ever after. Well, let's just say God didn't put that exact plan on my heart. Am I saying he called me to something better then what everyone else is doing? No way! But He has called me to something different then what everyone my age is doing. He has called me to the World Race! An 11 month missions trip to 11 different countries. These countries include Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, and India. I wont be leaving till January 2013 and when I say that, im pretty sure I know what most of you are thinking…
YOU: Dang girl, you have 9 months before you leave! Why are you talking about this now?
and here is what I'm thinking…
ME: Oh my gosh! I'm leaving in 9 months! I am going to miss a lot of school, I wont see my friends and family, I wont be able to kiss my dog Milo, I wont be able to eat chicken fingers, and how in the heck am I going to raise $15,000?
Yea, I know we are think a little differently
But I am content and so EXCITED with this journey God is calling me on! Who would have thought that out of all people God would choose someone like me to travel to all these places to help fight against sex slavery, work in orphanages, feed starving people in excluded villages, work in hospitals and on college campuses, talk to people who are dying from aids and most importantly share the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Like I said, VERY EXCITING! But I do only have 9 months to raise the support I need to make this trip happen. So I am asking you, If you want to help me go against the grain, please click the "support me!" tab on the left of the page. Every penny counts! If you have any questions or just want to talk about this trip please find me on facebook or even email me. ([email protected])
