The World Race has been something so much greater than I could have ever dreamed. My life is being completely transformed right before my own eyes. The incredible thing is that I have not had to do anything except say YES to the Lord. The transformation happens naturally when you finally mean the words I SURRENDER ALL. Throughout our lives we choose to take back the things laid down before the Lord. The worries, the desires, the hesitations, the burdens, etc… We say I SURRENDER ALL but we run back saying I SURRENDER some. For the last 6 months I have done just that. I said yes to the Lord…I SURRENDER ALL. Then throughout the journey the reality of I SURRENDER ALL becomes I SURRENDER SOME.
Over the last week the Lord has revealed that He cannot fully use us to bring glory to Himself in the lives of others if we am not bringing glory to Himself in our own lives. Yes, God will use us in spite of ourselves. Our World Race team has come to a point where the Lord has said it is time to step it up several notches. No longer will we be operating out of our own ability. We will more simply be operating out of the power of God in us. As we have come to a new level with the Lord on this journey, I ask that you commit to pray!
For the next month we will be in a closed country where it is illegal to preach the Gospel. This means that in order to protect the missionaries in that country we will be unable to utilize the internet for personal use via email and blogs. Once we leave that country in a month I will update you on how the Lord has worked over the last month in the lives of my team and myself. Since I am unable to give you specifics as to how to pray, I believe God will impress upon you how to pray. My request is that you ask God how to pray and follow through with His answer.
Say an extra little prayer on December 12th…as it is my first birthday without hearing “Happy Birthday” from home!
