We so often use the statement, “live life to the fullest.” We sometimes get on a high, thinking about all the things we are capable of but we don’t step out on because we are too comfortable where we are. We are scared of failure and the chance of things becoming uncomfortable. It really is true that you miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. Why is it that we don’t take risks? Why is it that we have dreams but don’t live them out? A great example of this is at funerals or wakes, or just in conversation with someone after a person has passed away. How many times has someone left this world and you’ve heard it being said that, “life is too short”? You think about how short life is and how you should live it to the fullest, but then you fall back into your everyday routine and all your hopes and dreams are pushed to the side or buried under the rug. You hear people making these statements all the time, but it seems that this is a conversation where words are now spoken but don’t hold much meaning, and people listen but they don’t hear what is being said. We get on highs, thinking we can take on the world, but they never last. Why is it that you are holding back from what you would truly like to accomplish in life? What is it that is holding you back? Think about it.
