Hello friends! When I last wrote I was in Cambodia, and now I am in Central America. Wifi is difficult to find so I have not had the chance to write. But here is a snip of a night in Thailand.
It was Chinese New Year and fireworks were lit, girls were dressed ready for work, and people were dancing with a dragon like in Mulan. I was smack dab in the middle of the most popular red light district street. Men were waiting to buy tons of girls. But there was also another part there not many recognize.
My team and I went there to evangelize and I was expecting to talk to prostitutes. God had a different plan. I ended up talking to homosexual men the whole night. First I talked to a homosexual couple from Europe. One man was from Germany and one was from Spain. When I told them I am a missionary they thought I was Catholic. I said no, and I explained my relationship with Jesus. I was expecting them to run from me, but they let me pray for them. Then my team and I ended up on the gay bar street. God was trying to tell me something. We didn’t know what to do so we sat at a outside bar, ordered sodas and asked God to bring conversation. He did. For over an hour we talked to a homosexual man from Germany who was there for vacation.
He kept denying God, so I asked his name. His name was Peter. I said a disciple named Peter denied Jesus too. Turns out this guy was raised Catholic. He had been hurt by the church. Although the he didn’t accept Christ I believe God is after Peter and one day he will know Jesus. His lifestyle will change, and he will love Jesus.
The night was a huge learning experience to see how much darkness is in Thailand. God really started working on my heart after this night. I began to think of Europeans. There seems to be a lot of hurt from the church there. I’ve met several along this trip. Most are searching for answers and God wants to use me to give them answers. On July 8-22 I will be going to Spain to evangelize on the El Camino. Please be praying for my team and I as we prepare for the trip. The cost is $1,460. Please, please be praying. Europe needs to know they are loved by Jesus and that is our goal.
