I wanted to post my support letter on the blog for people who didn’t get it in the mail- it gives a little more detail about my heart for this trip!
Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing this letter to share with you the next exciting opportunity that God has called me to. After my anticipated graduation from the University of South Carolina in May 2018, I will be serving with the non-profit organization, Adventures in Missions, on the World Race starting in January 2019.
What is the World Race? It is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these.” Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities, work in orphanages, and teach English. With that being said, I need your help!
First and foremost, my squad and I will need and appreciate your prayers! This will be a stretching experience for all of us. Please pray for our health – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual; and that we would be open to letting God use and change us however He sees fit. Secondly, I will be in need of financial support. Like most other missions’ organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in January 2019, I need to raise $18,200. This money will cover all field expenses for the 11 months of the trip, such as food, lodging, air, land, and sea travel. By supporting this mission, you will play a huge part in God’s grand plan here on Earth. Your generosity is significant, and many will be blessed through your support.
As I take this leap of faith by trusting the Lord for His provision, would you prayerfully consider joining me with a monthly contribution or a one-time donation? I am so excited to see what God will do in my life during this next season! I pray that He will move in the lives of those I encounter, as well as those partnering with me in this journey. Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.
