Hey everyone! I’m going to keep this short and sweet because I will be boarding my flight to Cote d’Ivoire in ONE HOUR!!!!!!!
It’s happening people. I am currently sitting in the Newark international airport with my squad waiting for our plane to arrive. I guess it’s time to face my fear and anxieties head on because there’s no going back now.
The week leading up to Launch was a lot more emotional than I was expecting. I think I went through every emotion possible. I was scared, overwhelmed, sad, excited… and I couldn’t help but ask myself, “what the heck am I getting myself into?”, but something keeps nudging me to go and take a leap of faith into this crazy year.
I am not going to “change the world” or act like I know what I’m doing, but I do know that God is moving throughout the world and I am simply going and partnering with Him in His work. My first stop is to Cote d’Ivoire, Africa. We will be meeting our ministry host in Abidjan and begin working alongside them on Wednesday. I am so ready to be on the field! I can’t wait!!!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far!! You guys have been such a blessing and have made it possible to spread the love of Christ around the world. I really couldn’t have done it without you. I am about $6,000 away from my final goal! If you would like to donate, click on the “Donate” tab on the left side of my blog page. The subscribe button will also let you receive updates as I post them. I would love for you to follow along!!
Love always,
Jess
P.s. this is my team for the first few months! God is good because they are the BEST. Seriously, all fears I have about being away from home for a year is a lot easier knowing I get to do this thing with them. Please be praying for us and follow their blogs if you’d like more detail on the ministry we’re doing.
