Growing up, I’ve always loved music and singing along to the radio (I mean, who doesn’t) I’ve never played a musical instrument-minus a few months of piano lessons- even though I have always had a desire to learn. Over the past few months, one of my squad mates let me borrow her ukulele and shared her music book. During our squad debrief, each of the three teams of the squad was given the opportunity to lead a worship session. I was able to lead worship on the ukulele with the help of my teammate Kelsey on guitar. I would never have thought I would do such a thing or ever get the chance to lead worship. I felt so empowered…it was as if I was able to join in the work of the kingdom. Because of this opportunity, I have a new found desire for worship and want to pursue learning instruments.
