I made it to Butterfly Space in Nhkata Bay, Malawi! I’m sorry to not have been able to update you all sooner, but the wifi here is limited.

My teammate, Melanie, and I have been consistently volunteering at the Nursery and getting to know about 40 children from ages 2-5 during the morning hours. In the afternoon we all switch leading the Youth Club and creating activities for children of all ages. We plan to rotate helping at the local prison as well.
My team and I have been here about a week and are getting used to the climate change, from freezing cold to blistering hot. Fortunately for us, we are staying and tenting near a lake. Africa has been pleasant with warm smiles and welcoming hugs. There is a definite culture change from Europe, but we are enjoying the new scenery. Cannot wait to keep you all updated more!
