Hi everyone!
I wanted to give you an update on how my fundraising has been going so far. I have just reached $2,445, which is just under half of my first goal of $5,000.
This past Saturday I had a garage sale. I had never had a garage sale before, so it was an interesting experience. The haggling, the negotiating. Not stuff that I’m really good with, but it was a good learning experience! I did get to pass out my card and share where I’d be going and what I’d be doing next year.
Then, I had my brothers hold down the fort while I went over to Christ Fellowship Redland, where a Beth Moore simulcast event was being hosted. I was given the opportunity to share with the ladies there a little about what I’ll be doing on the World Race next. I brought my adopt a box poster as an easy way for them to give, and many did!
I can’t express enough how truly grateful I am for everyone that has given toward my trip thus far. You have literally been given nothing in return, and yet you have been willing to donate regardless! I thank God for your generosity!
Planned events to look out for in the future:
I’m looking to host a fundraising dinner in the next few weeks. Toward November I would like to host an art auction event. I have started reaching out to artists to donate artwork for the event. If you are an artist and would like to contribute in this way let me know!
My first deadline of 5,000 is due September 25, less than one week from now. It’s a lot for such a short period of time, I know. These are the times where I’m pushing forward in faith that God will make it happen. I’d like to ask you, would you be willing to join with me and help me achieve this goal? You can donate
here!
