I am a strive kind of gal – I strive to accomplish things and typically, I am stubbornly determined to do so.  However, I am not a goal oriented person.  I say I have an end goal, but my in-between consists of simply striving to be the best I can be or to do the best I can do in order to achieve my end goals.  This mindset is an advantage because it gives me plenty of wiggle room to do far better than a goal setting mind would constrict me to do (there is no limit), but it also gives me leeway to forget about my end goal until it gets closer and closer (procrastination at it’s finest).

I recently have decided to work three jobs; my love job of being a bridal consultant and practicing my marketing skills for a small bridal boutique here in Carmel Indiana, my fit job of working desks at a community gym to strive to continue being the fit girl that I’ve always been and not have to pay for it, and my money maker job of working at a restaurant and winery attempting to rack in those tips to donate to my trip weekly as well as fund other living expenses.  After being at each job for the time I’ve been thus far, I know perfectly well that I did not plan on being at any of these jobs, and instead God placed me there.  To challenge me and to mold me, to introduce me to new people and to shine His light in places He may not have been seen lately.

However, little did I know I found myself in four jobs. With life coming at me from multiple employers and coworkers, friends and family, I found myself feeling the strain of abandoning what I know and feel is the most important job of all, my fundraising job.  Fundraising can be a full time job in itself.  It’s not easy asking people you care about to care about something you’re passionate about enough for them to donate hundreds of dollars towards.  Even for me, it’s hard asking college student friends to donate $30 or to buy a bracelet for $15.

So why in the world did I title this blog $1000?  Because I am officially making  my first little GOAL and I want YOU to help me achieve it.  I want to get up to $1,000 within one week.  Yes, ONE week.  We are currently at nearly $600, that means I am only asking for us to raise $400 dollars from now until the end of NEXT Friday the 20th.  That’s barely $57 a day.  I strongly believe we can do that.  We all make more than $57 a day and if we can even grab one friend and split the cost of one day, that’s contributing to nearly 15% of our short term goal.

We can either donate via the buy a day idea listed in my previous blog, or you can just simply donate what you feel called to give by clicking the donate button either on the left side tabs of this page or the donate button on the upper right corner of this page.  I also am selling MudLove bracelets and mugs and if that interests you at ALL, simply email me at [email protected].

PLEASE, help me achieve the first goal of getting us into the four digit zone by spreading the word.  I cannot do this trip without you, and if you feel any tug at your heart towards this trip, it’s not just simply out of excitement for a new adventure, it was placed there for a reason!  God Bless and have a spectacular weekend and don’t forget, SPREAD THE WORD 🙂
