Hey friends!! This is kind of old news, but I switched routes!

Why?

Well, when I applied for the Race I just kinda picked a route without actually digging a little deeper into the details about each route. I was unsettled with the fact that I would be going to Africa. I loved my squad mates, and I was excited, but I felt like there was something else I was supposed to do, something I would be a better fit for. Something kept nagging (is that the right word??) me to go to Asia, so I said yes, texted my advisor to switch me over, and now I’m going to the Philippines! I’m super sad that I won’t have the same squad anymore, I really grew to enjoy our little convos, but I believe that God has something bigger and better in store for me in the Philippines!

I feel like maybe God kept telling me to switch to Asia because He knows I’m passionate about the things we’ll be doing there. These things REALLY speak to me and I kinda feel like even my story will help some of the people I will meet overseas.

Here’s some of what we’ll be doing:

-working with children from the sex trafficking industry

-help orphans and at-risk youth

-disaster relief

-serving in birth clinics

-facilitating youth camps

-ministering to children

-light construction

I CANNOT WAIT. Also, I found out that my training camp will be four days long (which is nothing compared to the normal 11 days). Soooo I will head to the Adventures in Missions base in Gainsville, GA on January 24th, 2019 and I will actually fly out to the Philippines the 28th.

Feel free to leave a comment, I love reading them and will respond to you 😉
