We are in Nepal!! This month is manistry, or MAN-LESS-TRY, month, meaning the guys and the girls are separated (but we found out that our guys are actually not too far from us lol) for the entire month until debrief, which will take place at the end of December and the beginning of January. Us women will be working primarily with trafficked women and women at risk of sex trafficking, teaching them English and doing outreaches. Today will be our first full ministry day so I look forward to what this month entails and what incredible things God is going to do. I have begun praying for the women that I will be teaching English to and the outreaches that we will be doing, would you also join me in praying for this month? Please pray for divine encounters, freedom and obedience to let the Holy Spirit move in our conversations, and spiritual protection over the entire team as there are temples around us and I’ve been having headache every night (also due to heavy smog). I thank God for the past three months where I struggled and was hurt, that because of his grace and love for me I learned to let go of these things and move on and trust. I am now in a new season of faith and stepping out in boldness, submitting my tongue and action to the Holy Spirit and choosing joy and trust instead of those of the flesh.

Speaking of the flesh, something unexpectedly happened (which relates to the whole social media stuff) and I will be living a bit differently, in a good way, than the past three months. So, here it is. My phone died. I bawled my eyes out and had to give it a proper burial…just kidding. My phone simply doesn’t charge and has been this way since we arrived in Nepal…it’s been 4 days. So not having my phone means not having the easy access to take pictures and edit them, Instagram, messaging friends and family without having to pull my laptop out, and work out with my awesome workout app (jk I haven’t really used it). The biggest lost for me is taking pictures. I love and appreciate all the scenes, people, and things I’ve been able to see and enjoy and be able to easily snap photos of them. Not being able to do that for the past three days in Themal actually invited me into greater freedom in enjoying what God has created for me. Luckily I still have my camera for vlogging and I can take photos with…so I’m not completely at lost in terms sharing my adventure with you guys back at home.

On top of this, our place of stay this month experiences power outage three times a day, cold showers all day everyday, and promised Internet that isn’t always promising. SO, this month will be interesting and fun, with all the changes from the comfortable living situations to this.

So yeah, this is just a brief update on Nepal and what this month will look like. Please have me and my squad in prayers. I really can’t thank you enough for your support and prayers, they’ve lasted me here–MONTH FOUR!!! Thank you and thank God for everything, really.

Love,

Jess
