I have arrived in Cote d’lvoire, after an about 20 hour flight, safe and sound!

The whole experience seems so surreal. I can’t believe I am actually in AFRICA and I’m really doing this whole World Race thing! Since I was little I have always wanted to go to Africa and it’s crazy that I am actually here. I feel so blessed and grateful to just be able to do this and I want to thank everyone who has supported me through this. I can say with confidence that I would definitely not be here without you all!! SO THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

This month I am in the city of Abidjan, which is the capital of Cote d’lviore. It is a huge city with about 5 million people in it! We are staying right in the city in an apartment, and we have beds and showers which is amazing!!  The kitchen is so cute and simple, which I love and we are getting creative with how to wash our laundry and cook our meals on a budget. But, it has been an amazing experience so far and it’s only been the first couple days.

This month we are doing Trucker Ministry and you may be wondering what that is, I thought the same thing! But we are ministering to truckers that are in the area dropping off and picking up loads. Sometimes these truckers have to wait 3 months to even get their load, which is crazy. During that time they just have to wait at the port and that means sleeping in or under their trucks for maybe 3 months at a time. The truckers come from all over Africa to pick up their loads in Abidjan and most of these men are Muslim. The church we are working with is amazing and teaching us a lot about the culture here and the Muslim faith, so that we can minister to these men effectively. We have only had one day of ministry so far so I will keep you all updated on how its going as the month goes on.

We would love your prayers for courage and strength as we step out into the unknown. I pray for the hearts of the individuals we will talk to that they hear and understand the love of God and I pray that I can show it well.

I have included some pictures also to share with you all, I hope you enjoy them!
