Just wanted to wrap up Nicaragua and post all my favorite stuff about being here:
Nicaragua seriously has some amazing views of the sky! FULL of stars and just felt like since that first night we got to Nicaragua staying at that church the sky was amazing and continued on through the month.
It was the first time that I seen lightening bugs/fireflies whatever people call them. They were so cool to see and watch every night while I sat there eating dinner.
I really enjoyed the kitchen duties and the kitchen ladies. They were fun to get to know and connect with- big tip, if you get them on your side you can end up with some leftover French toast for an after dinner snack 😉 or Ms. Aleada(not sure how to spell her name) helping her in the kitchen at the school, I ended up getting some ice cream out of the deal and she taught me Spanish.
I really enjoyed prayer week, although some of it was new and made me feel uncomfortable – it was really interesting how we spent a week in prayer. We did a night prayer one night where we hadn’t someone awake during all hours of the night to pray- I was from 2-3am and I walked down to the rancho and the moon was just perfect and reflected off the lake, plus like I said before, bright night full of stars! It was a great hour of peace and felt the lords presence.
One of my favorites was since we didn’t have access to wifi, I dove deeper into my bible than I ever have before, when I was looking for a particular verse or prayer I had to look for it and it took time. I wasn’t able to just google it and and look it up.
Even though I felt this month was challenging- I feel a lot of growth in this month and I have some personal goals of my own to hopefully tackle into next month! We will be leaving for panama on the 7th. No more all squad month, so Daughter Zion will be in San Felix working with deaf ministry. A bit hyped about that and need to get learning some Panamaian signs!!
