“The reason the church in America today is nearly powerless is because its pews are filled with luke-warm, half-hearted “Christians” who don’t know how to go farther.” Are we a just a Fan of Jesus or a Follower?.”
We live in such a world of sin that we forget what Jesus has done for us on the cross. Our sins are forgiven, our God is bigger than that. It’s impossible to live a world without sin, we are here to trust God and know that He is the most powerful one and He is our King.
“So many people today are so deceived, they think they’re just going to walk right in those Pearly Gates and say ‘I was just having a good time.'”
There’s more to life than how we live our lives. The clothes we wear, the good and the bad, the things we did, and what we accomplished. God doesn’t care about the mansion we lived in, the fancy car we drove, and the money we own.
He told so many people, I need you, Mark, Peter, James, John just like he’s saying he needs YOU.
Jesus is a light for us, we need to be a light for Him. Too many people don’t even know Jesus Christ, we have such a privilege of knowing and having a relationship with God. 62 million people don’t even know about Christ!
“I believe that You died for me, so that I can live for You. It’s heavy, it’s hot, the battle is unbelievable. Do you know that God always has a plan?”
Our trust needs to be in Him and have faith. Prayer is our main conversation to God, no expirations, no time limits, no cost, works wherever you are. We often get scared and it’s ok. We need to live Godly lives to be successful. We work for God, we are here to help build His kingdom through the talents and lives he has given us.
“It started with selection, but as you study the Gospels you find out it didn’t stay with selection. It then moved to Servanthood. Do you understand that you’re going through what you’re going through to get you closer to God?”
I believe this World Race is going to teach me SO MUCH about God, in happy moments and in hard times. I realize I don’t need to use this as an excuse to become closer to God. Start right now! Live the life God wants you to live. I know the World Race is a calling from God and I am scared so much but I know He will teach me so much!

I had watched a few videos off of the internet and I realize how easy it is to be such lukewarm Christians. Honestly one of the videos was such a wake-up call. There’s more to being a Christian rather than just going to church and reading the scriptures. We are here to live a life with Christ as if Christ is in our souls. God is coming soon and we need to be ready!
I did this post because I often wonder what can I do to better my life? Go back to school? Get a different job? Move to a different town? People are always asking me what my plans are for after the World Race. Honestly I have NO IDEA. It’s all part of God’s calling and I’m sure He will lead me in the right direction. All I know is that it doesn’t matter what jobs we work, what degrees we have, how much money we have. God is the ONLY one that matters and I am ready to be a Follower of Christ, not just a Fan.
