I was able to take yesterday to visit the S21 prison and the killing fields. I also watched the movie, First They Killed My Father. Its all about the Camodian genocide, not a lot of the world knows about it but so much happened in just 40 years ago in the same city I stand in. This was a lot to go see and learn about- the whys and how comes- the overwhelming emotions.
i wasnt sure how I was going to write about this- I ran into this other blog post that talks really well about the hard parts of Cambodia.

Please please take the time to clink on the link above and read about the two sites I was able to go visit and see. It’s not a long read and it’s crazy what happened here.
Father, I pray for the people of Cambodia and those who have suffered through unimaginable torture. I pray for those children who’ve lost their families through this genocide. I pray for peace in this beautiful country and I pray for nothing like this to ever happen again anywhere. Bring your presence and love into this place and help those receive education and reveal to the younger generation that they can turn this country into the home they desire. I thank you for the opportunity to learn about the history, to visit the places where such evil overcame. I thank you for having Cambodia be a part of my journey in my travels. I thank you for the wonderful people of this country and love that I have receive while being here. I pray for unity and breakthrough for this country to become Your nation and live for you. In your name I pray. Amen.
