There’s something powerful that happens when a group of individuals unite for a common purpose. We’ve all felt it. When you gather with thousands for a concert or a game. You all cheer for the same successes. You feel empowered being united with like-minded people.
Welcome to Awakening Thailand 2018. 4 World Race squads gather together for a few days of empowerment. The days are filled with worship, sessions, games, food, and giving away what each team/individual has. Each squad was at a different level on their race. Some just started, and some are close to finishing.
There’s something powerful that happens when people come together and step up in what they are good at. God has given us each different callings and gifts, and to see them at work to bless the whole is amazing.
Prayer warriors stepped up to surround the squads with prayer—for the Awakening and for the Community.
Worship team stepped up to make sure we kept our focus on the Savior of the World morning and evening.
Creative people came together to decorate, make us all feel welcome and to spark the “fun” during the event. We competed hard, laughed hard, and sometimes got grossed out hard. But fun brought us together!
Storytellers captured the entire event—every moment, every smile, every crazy moment with the Lord.
Evangelism team empowered us to take the Gospel to the streets of Thailand. We gathered in small groups from different squads and used our strengths to compliment the team as we stepped out in boldness. God did amazing things!!
There’s something powerful about being united. I used to believe that I could live life on my own without the help of others. I kept myself secluded to prevent friction with others. After 9 months of living in community and many large-scale events like the Awakening, I can see how powerful community is.
In the Tower of Babel, God had to separate community and mix up languages because, united, they could do anything. And it’s true. God meant for us to have a strong community supporting us!
There is something powerful when people are united. With all the differences in gifts, callings and personalities, we are a more complete picture of Christ. We each carry aspects of Christ, and when you put them all together, we shine more like Christ.
