In the heart of India, I find myself surrounded by Faith that moves mountains

We are extremely blessed to be living with gracious hosts that felt like family to us on the first day of arriving.  Within the first few days, we all shared our testimonies, and theirs blew me away.

This family lives by faith.  With a son out of the country at Medical School, they’ve received his tuition money hours before it was due; yet, none of them worry over it.  They have FAITH that the Lord has the son where He wants him, and therefore the Lord will provide.  And He has—every dime needed, plus enough money to return home for every break!

When the kids were younger, there was a time where they had no food.  They were extremely poor, yet they had Faith that moves mountains.  They sat down on the floor with empty plates in front of them and no food around.  They prayed and THANKED the Lord for their meal.  Within minutes, there was a knock at the door—they opened the door and found their meal.

We’ve heard stories from natives that showed incredible faith in the Lord.  At a children’s care home, there was no food to feed the children.  The caretakers sat down with the children, with empty plates in front of them, and THANKED the Lord for their meal, knowing that He would provide.  Within minutes, there was a knock at the door—someone arrived with enough bread to feed the children FOR A WEEK!  After they started eating, there was another knock—a milk man that said his vehicle broke down and it would take time to fix it—enough time to make the milk spoil!  He offered his truckload of milk to the caregivers in hopes that they could use it before it spoiled.

And the testimonies keep coming!

There’s something I’ve learned about the mission field:  It is a place where you come to the end of your resources—and yourself—a place where you can’t do anything else but trust that the Lord will provide.  We become our weakest, which allows the Lord to become our strength, our provision, our healing, and our shalom (blessing).

It’s nearly impossible to trust the Lord when we refuse to leave our comfort zone.  Step out and TRUST that the Lord will care for your every need; only then can you have Faith that Moves Mountains!
